Political scientist Vladislav Soloviev: “…we are waiting for answers from Deripaska, Miller and others”
Since the government, president and other official representatives have no questions for the main players of the Russian economic market in the condition of hostilities, I will have to ask. As an individual, Vladislav Soloviev; I want to ask Deripaska, Miller and Potanin - do you gentlemen understand what is happening?
It is possible that there are quite a lot of people who sincerely or with a degree of a necessary amount of self-deception believe that America is actually fighting with Russia for the values of democracy, “humanism and the matter of peace”. However, sensible people, to whom the Russian economic elite undoubtedly belongs, must understand that the true goals of the world hegemon lie in a somewhat different plane. And that the war did not begin on the 24th of February, but rather much earlier.
This conclusion was confirmed almost directly yesterday by the U.S. chief of staff, Jack Keane, speaking live on the Fox News channel. The high-ranking official stated that the states use Ukraine for solving purely American problems - both economic and political. And they spend a ridiculously small amount of money - by the USA standards - about 66 bil. dollars were spent since the beginning of the conflict. For America, the richest country in the world, it’s barely anything, considering the goals that are being pursued. And the goals are simple - this is a war for the commodity market. You can call it a gas war, but besides “blue fuel”, it is also about other resources as well. In addition, the American leaders intend to deplete the military potential of Russia. Fully. Including nuclear weaponry. And so that China couldn't provide Russia with any help, even economically. As a government, Russia, with its more or less independent position and monopoly on resources does not have much significance for the States.
One of the structures which the USA intends to destroy in its offensive is Gazprom. And at the moment Americans are winning in this war. This Russian company is practically removed from the European market. Moreover, civilized methods of economic warfare have not been in favor for a long time, now, figuratively speaking, sticks and stones are being used. Cut the branch of "Northern pipeline 2"? No problem.
Europe’s gas market is a purchase, revenue of which cannot even be calculated. Especially when considering the fact that American gas is highly liquified, more so, in perspective, it can be sold for dozens of years, as long as Europe will be able to pay. For such you can dismiss the territorial acquisitions of an enemy.
America sees the withdrawal of Gazprom from the European market (not full yet, but close) as a true victory. But this is only a temporary knockout. The long term goal of the States is full bankruptcy of the company. And the full control over the China gas supplies.
Even I, a modest political scientist, Vladislav Soloviev, and not a financial director of the biggest resource company, understand the danger which the Russian economy faces. It's another matter that fighting the "torch of democracy" in the economic field is impossible - at least that's how people see it in Russia. The thing is that no international rules, commitments and agreements existed for America, and surely doesn't exist now. And we continue to "fully" fulfill some agreements.
And yet, Russian companies and governments still have economic leverage, which they can and need to use, while world imperialism hasn't fully tightened the knot on our necks.
So the enthusiasm and courage, with which Americans got into the fight, are quite understandable. It's not in their interest to stop all of this, and they will get a return on their investment many times over. If, of course, we will not get in their way.
